The AVentPro Open House

On June 25 & 26, we hosted our open house! It was an event we had been looking forward to since we started designing our new space, and we weren’t let down.

Throughout the two-day event, we got to see clients, industry partners, and community leaders. People showed up early and stayed late. They fostered existing connections and made new ones. They explored our space, learned about innovative ways to use event technology, listened to our ideas, and started thinking about their next events.

Spaces & Experiences.

Our new office space was designed with several purpose-built spaces – so it only made sense that each of these spaces was used for a specific purpose during our open house! Here’s what attendees were able to experience in each corner of the office.

Primary office space.

In our conference room, a projector was installed in the ceiling, allowing us to projection map onto the conference table. The bright, crisp visuals that perfectly conformed to the shape of the table showed our guests the incredible quality of our projectors while giving a clear example of how projection mapping works – and one of the many unique ways it can be used.

In the boardroom, we had an interpretation booth, as well as several different microphones stationed along the boardroom table, allowing attendees to see what the booths look like and how they work.

In the lobby, we shared two items that have the potential to positively impact the audience experience while creating opportunities for branding or sponsorship. The first is a cell phone charging station. Complete with a large screen and combination locked boxes, this portable charging station gives attendees the ability to securely charge their phones during sessions or breaks. Meanwhile, the wayfinding kiosks allow attendees to enter their names and pull up schedules, maps, find out what tables they’re assigned to during an event, and more!

XR Studio.

One of our favourite areas to show off was our XR studio – a dedicated space for virtual production. Our XR studio is the first ground-level studio in Manitoba, and we’re proud to have partnered with CoPilot Co. to bring this unique space to the province.

The space is specifically designed to be used for virtual production and content creation, to create immersive learning environments, and as a film and production studio.

First, utilizing a car, lighting, hard scenic, and our LED wall, we displayed how we can use this space to create immersive video experiences in-house.

In our smaller studio, we had the full green screen experience! With ready-for-filming lighting and table and chairs with microphones stationed in front of the cameras, our guests were able to start imagining new ways to create content with a basic podcast set up. 

For this setup, we utilized our air pack. The self-contained control room is essentially a portable TV studio in a box, including cameras with CCUs, the waveform, and vectorscope. During the open house, we showed our guests how running the cameras at 24 frames per second, rather than 30 frames per second, creates a different look and feel, illustrating how much control we have over content produced with this equipment and in this setting.

From creating training videos or pre-recorded messages from clients and internal stakeholders, to visualizing in-person events, we loved watching our guests explore these truly unique spaces and imagine all the different opportunities there are to create curated, engaging, and unique content.

Warehouse.

When our guests entered our 10,000+ square foot warehouse, they were greeted by a full stage set up, complete with two LED archways, scenic blocks that can be lit either externally or internally, a clear podium, and an interactive LED floor. Guests were able to explore the stage, interacting with each element, and were able to walk across the LED floor, with a pond visual, and watch as the water rippled with each step they took.

In another corner of our warehouse, we set up our new discussion stands with large, comfortable armchairs. These stands, which feature built-in microphones, a timer, and a pad to charge your phone, create a casual panel environment while still feeling elevated for the corporate setting.

Finally, we set up a backdrop and podium to show how the space could be used for press conferences.

Outdoor solutions.

As our guests made their way outside to grab a bite to eat or a drink from the food trucks, they were able to explore our outdoor event solutions. From extremely portable and quick to deploy solutions like our LED trailer to our large Stageline stage, specifically intended for outdoor events, attendees started thinking about how they could use the displays for corporate events, festivals, concerts, and more!

Stationed next to the trailer was our BIL Mobile Surveillance Trailer. These easy-to-deploy self-contained systems have a mast with several cameras, sirens, and speakers attached to it, and rises 40 ft in the air. For outdoor events, we’ve seen several strategically positioned for full video coverage, while a security team in a central control room is able to review the footage live and make announcements, increasing safety and security onsite.

Every time one of our guests expressed their excitement about our technology or surprise at how easily they could implement innovative solutions, it was music to our ears. We love having the opportunity to approach events creatively to use technology to create memorable, impactful experiences. Getting to show our clients and event partners just a few ways we can use technology to flex our creative muscles and bring their events to the next level – and seeing how quickly they started picturing ways to use the solutions – made us incredibly excited for the future.
