2022 Year in Review
In our business, we’re always looking ahead to what’s coming next. While the pandemic presented some interesting challenges, we’ve seen events come back with a vengeance. As we enter the New Year we’ve taken some time to reflect on the challenges and highlights of 2022.

In the last year, we have worked with many new clients and taken on several unique events. Here is a sampling:
One example of a unique challenge was MGEU’s (Manitoba Government and General Employees’ Union) Hybrid Special Convention at the Victoria Inn and Conference Centre. As the world started to lift COVID-related restrictions in the Spring of 2022 there was a clear divide between those who were comfortable attending events in person again and those who preferred to join at a distance. The main requirement of this event was to have a truly hybrid experience, where a conversation could be had between an in-person attendee and a remote one without needing to worry about echoes, and feedback, and with the ability to see each other clearly and to vote on resolutions in real-time. If you would like to learn more about this event check out the post about it here.
Some notable events include Canada Post’s Stamp Unveiling at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, honouring the life and legacy of Sgt. Tommy Prince. AVentPro helped bring this iconic event together in partnership with Canada Post by providing turnkey audio visual production services including projection mapping, lighting design, and staging services.
We partnered with Black-Manitobans Chamber of Commerce for their inaugural dinner where AV needs were meticulously handled to ensure a successful event for their members and attendees. We understood the importance of bringing their vision to life and sharing their message “that a commitment to diversity and equitable commerce is a commitment to Manitoba’s economic growth that will lead to the prosperity of All Black People, not only in Manitoba but everywhere in Canada.”
The brand-new Meridian Exhibition Centre in Winkler had its first gala dinner in November. We worked closely with the Winkler & District Chamber of Commerce for The P.W. Enns Business Awards Gala which celebrates and recognizes the success of local businesses.
The North West Company partnered with AVentPro in September for their “Winter Gathering” conference. This 10-day event featured several LED screens, Projection Mapping of the Northern Lights, Live Streaming, multiple breakout rooms, and a special celebratory gala with music by 54-40.
Veterans’ Affairs Canada hosted an event at Shaughnessy Park Elementary School with CAF members and a number of veterans in attendance to mark the 25th anniversary of the “Flood of the Century” and the Canadian military’s support. The event featured speeches about the flood fight as well as hands-on activities, including filling sandbags in the school playing field. Altogether a total of 200 children from grades 4-8 took part in the activities.
Our successes over the past year would not have been possible without the help of our dedicated team members and the trust of our clients.
The lessons learned and experiences gained in 2022 will create even more opportunities in 2023. As new equipment and technologies come online, along with some new faces, rest assured that AVentPro’s focus will remain the same – to bring each client’s event vision to reality. Thank you for your continued support and for allowing us to be part of your team!
